Does your organization have a large open space that is going unused for a couple days during the week? Would you consider loaning it out for free/small donations to local moms/parents/young children to create an indoor play space for children?

-A gymnasium sectioned out with a tricycle area, balls, riding toys, mats for baby's to climb on, blocks and cars. A few tables and chairs or benches around for parents to chat and relax, have a snack with their little ones while meeting other parents. A closet nearby where we clean up after ourselves and put everything away.
-The hours COULD be whatever works for your space, but ideally mornings. M/W 9am-11am? M-Thurs 10-1:00? Anything like that could work.
We are hoping to set up a play co-op here in central oregon! A play co op..can operate a few different ways. But essentially means a group of parents rent/borrow a space , add toys and invite other parents and caregivers to come play and socialize. Parenting can be very isolating at times for some without family nearby, who just moved to the area, when the snow is 2 ft deep and you cant go to a park, etc. A sense of community is good for us all! It truly takes a village!
We would hope to keep the cost very low to parents, usually a small monthly fee or a drop in fee of a few dollars. Once we have enough members the money could go toward paying rent for the space. Hopefully we can grow something wonderful.
What we need:
-We need a large open space like a gymnasium or mostly empty room. We would be adding toys over time and would bring in some trikes, baby and toddler toys, balls, blocks, etc.
-access to a large closet or small room nearby to put things away when we are finished.
-nearby access to bathrooms for parents/children.
*Open To SPACES IN REDMOND OR BEND.
* Also open to the idea of it just being open for part of the year..Say October-March?? When the weather is colder and parents are really needing a safe and educational space for children to socialize.
-IF you do not have a space available, but are interested..We will also need help with set up and organization of the group. Ideally we need a minimum core group of 10 motivated parents who can get things going. If you have skills to offer, ideas to contribute, toys to donate, time to spare, etc. Please feel free to reach out!!!
