Christiansen’s Contracting Company LLC is a family owned, operated, and oriented general contracting company based in the Central Oregon area specializing in all phases of residential, commercial, and industrial construction. As a general contractor we self-preform excavation work, concrete work, steel erections, wood/steel framing, finish’s & demo. We are seeking to fill positions within the company that will be a part of our family and continued success.
Most of our work is local to Central Oregon, so finding a grounded individual is key.
Position: Excavation working superintendent

Responsibilities:
Full time position for an experienced operator and leader that takes pride in their work.
• Daily inspections of equipment: greasing, fueling, and machine operations duties
• Machinery set up: safety, personnel, and other machinery
• Effectively monitor and maintain equipment
• Perform duties required by foreman
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations
• Complete daily logs and timecards as required
• Report any repair or safety concerns directly to supervisor
• Keep company tools always locked and/or safe
• Problem solve and contact supervisor when needed

Requirements:
• Minimum three years’ operating heavy equipment
• Must be able to efficiently operate full size excavators, mini excavators, skidsteers, backhoes, rock hammers, machine operated compactors, hot-saws, and manual operated compactors.
• Must be able to physically work with shovels, rakes, and hands
• Must have good physical health
• Most working days are M-F 7AM – 3:30PM
• Willing to occasionally work on a weekend when needed
• Willing to occasionally work a 10–14-hour day when needed
• Must have knowledge excavating in all soil conditions related to Central Oregon
• Must be able to efficiently read and interpret pipe plans, grading plans, and demo plans
• Must be able set grades using a laser level based off plans
• Must be able to work well with others and give good direction to others
• Must have experience operating over and around live utilities safely
• Must be able to prep for paving and concrete
• Must be able to dig and install utilities correctly including but not limited to water lines, sewer lines, power lines, cable lines, and gas lines.
• Must be able to take off plans and create estimates.
• Must be able to scale materials needed per plan and order them.
• Preferred knowledge of blue beam and how to use it.
• Must be able to create work schedules and pre order materials so its ready to go onsite.
• Must be able to use a company issued laptop efficiently, use excel, and send professional emails.
• Valid driver's license
• Must report safety hazards, bad behaviors, accidents, and incorrect operations to foreman/supervisor.

Compensation:
$35-$50 per hour DOE, company truck, fuel card, company issued laptop, & room to grow.
