The Morris chair is the original recliner, beginning in the 1800s. I used these plans to build a bow-arm Morris chair and want to pass them on to another woodworker. These are the best plans available, with fullsize templates and a detailed instruction book. The cool cast brass adjustment hardware is included, since I modified the leg shape a bit and chose not to use the hardware. The bending form I made allows you to make the graceful curved arms that are the most comfortable style. The form alone will save a lot of work. The completed chair is available for inspection so you can see the result.
