Lamiglas1 piece 7’0” USA GC 7 MT rod. Line 8-17lb lure 1/4-5/8oz. Abu Garcia 5500 LC reel. I use 8lb Ande line and a 3/4oz Nordic, Buzz bomb, or other. This combo balances out beautifully and has caught 100’s of Kokanee. My tiny tackle box has variations of pinks, reds and oranges all about 3/4oz so I can feel the action to 90’ or so. With my 15’ Smoker Craft I could anchor in 100’ max. When not anchored I put the transom to the wind and throttled enough to keep the line straight down. If the fish are at 50’ and you have 50’ of line out, but your line is at an angle, you are out of the kill zone. When the fish are less schooled up starting in late June, trolling becomes more effective and this is also a great combo for that.
I always took two rods, because when the bite is on, my line is in the water.

Lamiglas quit making this rod recently. The blanks are $202 each
