Position Summary
This position is responsible for sales generation, product preparation, food safety, quality control, work safety, merchandising, and assisting customers with specialty bakery orders and standard bakery items. The ideal candidate will also have cake decorating experience and the ability to assist with custom cake orders, cake writing, and bakery presentation.
Weekend availability is required.
This is a full-time, non-supervisory position.

Pay Scale
We believe in paying employees fairly for doing work of comparable character in line with the Oregon Equal Pay Act, and we’ve implemented an internal pay-scale system based on hours worked.
This position is part of our internal pay scale, which means for every 1040 hours you work, you’ll move to the next level in pay until you reach the maximum of the scale – we call that “Journeyman.” Pretty cool, huh?

• A current Food Handler’s Permit
• Deli experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and urgency
• Strong food safety and sanitation knowledge
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
• Basic computer skills and software navigation
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous cake decorating experience preferred
• Ability to write on cakes and complete basic/custom cake designs
• Experience using pastry bags, icing techniques, and decorative finishes
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Comfortable assisting customers with cake orders and special requests
