Long story short, I purchased a puppy [Birth Date - May 2017] from Whinny Farms and ran into a heck of a lot of problems with Kandy Hall [owner]. Ms. Hall listed puppies on her website and elsewhere [i.e., PuppyFind, American Border Collie Association] as "Purebred Border Collies." The Whinny Farms' website photo of puppy [at about 6-weeks] appears to be a short-haired Border Collie [black & white]. Upon picking up the puppy [at about 10 weeks], it looked like a Border Collie. As it grew older, it was clear to me [former owner of 2 BCs for 28-years], my spouse and vet tech that the puppy had several Schnauzer appearances/features and that it did not act/behave like a Border Collie. I had the puppy's DNA analyzed. Results: Schnauzer, Border Collie, Old English Sheepdog and other. The DNA findings confirmed our suspicions - that the puppy [and litter mates] Whinny Farms [Kandy Hall] advertised and sold were not at all Purebred Border Collies. Ms. Hall would not refund any money or acknowledge that the May 2017 litter mates were of "mixed breed ." My spouse talked with Ms. Hall's neighbor [via phone] and this neighbor stated that when the puppy's mother was in heat it closely interacted with her [the neighbor's] Bearded Collie and that it was very likely that the Bearded Collie was the father of my puppy. A man from Idaho talked with my spouse and indicated that he purchased a puppy [with the same birth date] from Ms. Hall and that the dog did not look like or behave like a Purebred Border Collie. The man forwarded a photo of his dog to me. The dog has long, curly hair and is red and white. The hair is very much like that of an Old English Sheep dog.
So, we have DNA, behavior and physical features that are not at all like that of Purebred Border Collies and Ms. Hall remains totally disinterested in "righting" [i.e., admitting, refunding, etc.] the situation. She has been deceptive and misleading. Go to RipOff Report and see where Ms. Hall has cheated other folks. Ms. Hall is not to be trusted. I wonder what the owners of the litter mates think about Whinny Farms and its' shenanigans.
