Edit: Hello, all! I've found someone to watch this group of boys, however I've ended up needing to find someone else to watch my other pair just for a couple weeks in June. My sister was originally going to take them, but she'll be out of town for a couple of weeks in the beginning of june, right when renovations are supposed to be done on our house, and other family members will be unable to watch them. Like my other boys, these two (Wirt and Titch, who are father and son) will come with their cage an plenty of food, bedding, and toys to last them a couple of weeks. Strongly, strongly prefer someone within central oregon, an who has rat experience. I can't travel for more than 40 mins outside of bend, at most, so the closer you are, the better.

Hello! I've recently found out that I'll be spending the summer in Iowa and I'm looking for someone willing to pet-sit/foster four of my male rats. I can't offer pay long-term pay, however I will be providing food, caging, accessories, and any vet care they may end up needing over the summer months.

I'll likely be leaving end of may/early june, and will be staying til end of august or very early september at the very latest. These guys are all super sweet and very entertaining. Fisk (black mask dumbo) is the most outgoing, while Lars and Chidi (pew and agouti) are more reserved and dominant, with Boon (rex hooded) being also reserved but SUPER sweet. On top of me moving for the summer, my family has also recently discovered a big mold issue in my ceiling that we'll be doing renos on in the early weeks of my leave. This, we've discovered, is the reason for the boys' congestive issues and why they haven't permanently responded to the treatment we've been giving them. So I'll likely be sending them with a round of Doxy to administer for 1-2 weeks, which should clear up the issue completely once they're not in the moldy environment anymore.

Preferably looking for someone experienced with rats who is willing to watch over them, however they would also make a good "trial run" if you've been thinking about getting rats for yourself and think you have the knowledge to care for them/are willing to learn! They have a CN unit that I could send with them, as well as all the supplies and a season's worth of oxbow rat food. Please let me know if you're interested in helping out or know someone who may be willing. Thank you so much!
