High Desert Chamber Music (HDCM) in Bend, Oregon, invites inquiries for a part-time contracted Event Coordinator, beginning June 2026. Now in our nineteenth season, HDCM is a leading performing arts organization in Central Oregon, presenting high-quality classical chamber music concerts. Our office is located in Downtown Bend, next to the Pine Tavern Restaurant.

Position Description:
The Event Coordinator (EC) works closely with and reports to the Operations Manager. This role includes responsibilities in two primary areas:
HDCM Annual Gala
The EC will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of the HDCM Annual Gala, including oversight of the Silent Auction and Dessert Dash.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Soliciting donations for the Silent Auction and Dessert Dash
• Entering and cataloging donated items using the Greater Giving online platform
• Coordinating pickup of donated items from local businesses
• Assisting with event timeline management, setup, and on-site event supervision
All contact information and solicitation materials will be provided. Training will also be provided; no prior experience with Greater Giving is necessary.
Applicants must be available on Friday, November 20, 2026, for the HDCM Annual Gala, including morning setup and evening event attendance.
Work hours will vary between June and August based on availability, with increased hours from September through November as the event approaches.
HDCM Concert Series
The EC serves as a liaison between the Executive Director, Operations Manager, visiting artists, volunteers, outside event personnel, Board members, and students/parents participating in HDCM Educational Outreach programs.
The EC will also participate in approximately six major concert events throughout the season (evenings; dates TBD).
Specific training regarding concert production, setup, and event procedures will be provided. The EC will work collaboratively with staff to help ensure successful event operations.

Qualifications:
A strong candidate will demonstrate:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professionalism and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Applicants should also:
• Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Be comfortable using a PC and navigating Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft OneDrive

• Part-time contract position
• Flexible schedule, averaging 5–10 hours per week
