At CASA of Central Oregon, we recruit, train and support volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA volunteers) who represent the best interests of children in foster care in all court proceedings and throughout the larger communities in Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties. Our goal is to give all children in foster care a CASA volunteer, but we lack enough state funding and volunteers serve every child in need - and that’s where YOU come in.
CASA is looking for a Development and Marketing Specialist. The Development and Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting fundraising and community awareness to further the strategic goals of CASA of Central Oregon. This position works closely with the Development Director and the Executive Director to expand CASA’s development program, develop, and maintain successful relationships with stakeholders, and increase community awareness through strategic communication and marketing initiatives.
The Development and Marketing Specialist will enjoy working in a collaborative environment, building community relationships, assisting in executing successful fundraising events, creating meaningful storytelling and strategic marketing initiatives, and making an impact for children.
A successful candidate should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using online donor databases, including entering data and generating reports.
• Experience creating marketing collateral including writing copy, basic design, in printed and electronic formats.
• Experience with digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
• Ability to generate and present reports on campaign KPIs, ROI, and marketing outcomes.
• Experience executing successful fundraising initiatives and events.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse population and with those from various cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to represent CASA at community events and share organization’s mission.
• A commitment to CASA’s goals and mission.
Preferred candidate will have:
• Experience planning or supporting fundraising events.
• Demonstrated success with fundraising initiatives or donor engagement.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and has a proven track record of independently identifying and solving problems.
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Knowledge of family systems, child welfare, and child victimization.
• Familiarity with community resources that support children in foster care.
The Development and Marketing Specialist reports to the Development Director.
The position is full-time (40 hours a week) and based in Bend. Salary between $53,000 - $59,000/year DOE. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, PTO, flexible schedules, and a positive working environment that focuses on a balanced work-life structure.
