Welcome to Sisterly Silence Studios!

Good gear, lots of experience, comfortable space, affordable rates. Located in NE Portland.

Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, WAVES Gold & Abbey Road, Soundhack & iZotope plug ins, 16 channel Allen & Heath analog board, condenser, dynamic and ribbon microphones, Adam A7X monitors, Tascam 388 8 track reel to reel machine, 2-track 1/4" Teac tape machine, 1979 Roland Space Echo tape delay, Drawmer 1968 mk2 stereo tube compressor, Warm Audio British and American style preamps, monitoring for up to six musicians, two isolation closets, etc. etc. etc. From solo musicians to full bands. All genres! From hip hop to folk to black metal, and everything in between.

I'm also available for a variety of audio services including: recording/editing/producing podcasts, voice overs, audiobooks, spoken word, editing sound for video, etc. etc.

And LESSONS - I offer lessons in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and the computer music programming language Pure Data, as well as more general studio and recording techniques, mixing, mastering, studio/software set-up help, etc. I have a background in teaching children and have worked with students ages 5-70. All levels welcomed.

A bit about myself:
I studied audio engineering and computer music programming at UC San Diego and have a Master's in Fine Arts from Mills College in Electronic Music and Recording Media. I have good ears, gear, and rates, and to quote Larry Crane, "am not a jerk."

My rate is $30/hr, two hour minimum. Day rate is $200. Lesson rate is $40/hr.
