condition: excellent
Lanikai really knocked it out of the park with this instrument. So much so that I bought two of them and then realized that was unnecessary. I am the original owner and it has been well-cared for. I'm a huge fan of quality travel-sized instruments that sound and play well, and as we all know they are far and few between. The wood finish is gorgeous and the electronics sound great! Once you acclimate to the scale length of this instrument is such a blast to play. My one issue with the design of this instrument is that Lanikai designed it with ukulele fret markers instead of guitar markers, and this instrument is designed to be a small guitar, not a 6 string ukulele. In other words, they put one of the fret markers on the 10th fret instead of the 9th fret. This kept throwing me off visually so I brought it to my local luthier and had him remove the dots at the 10th fret and place some on the 9th fret instead. I also had him put a second fret marker on the 12th fret. It cost $80 and he did a great job. Now it's a guitar! You can see the work in the pictures. Even though this was an expensive upgrade I think it was worth it, and it is also the reason I'm listing this as "excellent" rather than "mint." Comes with Lanikai gig bag with straps and front pocket. These sell for $420 new, plus $80 fret dot upgrade is $150 in savings.
