The X5 is a 32‑voice polyphonic, 16‑part multitimbral, General‑MIDI compatible digital synth sporting Korg's AI2 synthesis. Each Program consists of a couple of waveforms with a comprehensive selection of synth editing parameters. There are 100 user‑editable Programs, plus a bank of 136 preset General MIDI‑compatible Programs. In common with previous AI/AI2 instruments, the X5 also has a bank of 100 combos. It also boasts dual stereo multi‑effects processors, with a choice of 47 different effects.
