Ask any experienced pianist to name a short list of their favorite pianos; the Steinway B will likely be on that list.
The Model B is Steinway’s most successful piano. Because it’s such a well-rounded instrument it is in high demand for serious, advanced pianists who demand the widest range of precision, color, power, and subtlety. At 6’ 11” in length, it is large enough for use in small to medium venues and recital halls, recording studios, teaching facilities, and large churches.
Built in 1935 during one of Steinway’s most celebrated eras, this Model B has been fully restored and musically rebuilt at the highest level, with every detail addressed to honor the instrument’s original voice while ensuring long-term reliability. The result is an instrument of uncommon depth and balance—one that reflects both its heritage and the musical potential of a well-made Steinway.
Tonally, this Steinway B is exceptional. The bass is powerful and commanding, the midrange sings with warmth and clarity, with remarkable sustain and focus across the full dynamic range. With its rebuilding complete, this Model B is now prepared for another 60 to 80 years of meaningful musical life, making it an extraordinary example by any standard. In keeping with our “Steinways for less” tradition, it is priced significantly below that of a new model B. Compare this instrument to the new MSRP at $142,900.
All of the pianos in our used inventory are carefully inspected to ensure they are up to our musical standards.
