Mountain Sky, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Maintenance Foreman to join our team! The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for managing a landscape maintenance crew of 1-4 members, completing daily scheduled maintenance routes, and ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality standards of all completed tasks.
DUTIES:
Oversee Crews & Operations
• Oversee daily landscape maintenance operations, and delegate work to crew members.
• Maintain a regular route schedule and meet each client’s service expectations.
• Identify more efficient ways to perform work.
• Mow, edge, thatch, aerate, and fertilize lawns.
• Perform weeding and general maintenance of landscape beds.
• Trim small trees, hedges, and shrubs.
• Remove trash and unwanted/unhealthy trees, weeds, and plants.
• Plant shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Serve as a point of contact for client correspondence and communication; commitment to client satisfaction, including handling complaints and feedback professionally.
• Operate a truck mounted snowplow, sander, snow blower or other standard snow removal equipment for residential and commercial properties.
• Proficiently utilize company software for the completion of work orders and recording job-related notes.
• Monitor and maintain plant health, make recommendations for plant health and landscape improvements to clientele and supervisors.
• Complete on-the-job training as specified by the Maintenance Division Manager.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including vehicles, tools, and machinery.
• Participate in snow removal services during winter months (i.e. manual snow shoveling).
• Other duties as assigned.
Manage Time, Quality, & Productivity
• Efficient time management: Able to keep strict schedules and meet deadlines.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork daily, including attendance tracking, time and materials billing summaries, requests for time off, etc.

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including but not limited to the use of company-issued uniforms.
• Utilize all required personal protective equipment.
• Punctual and dependable; reports for duty at the designated location on time each day.

• Uphold in a clean and safe work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years’ experience as a crew leader in landscaping or groundskeeping.
• Willing to participate in a drug-free work environment.
• Valid Oregon driver license with a clean driving record.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasonal temperatures and conditions, including exposure to extreme weather.
• Ability to work during all operating hours, including nights and weekends as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and operation of machinery/equipment.
• Experience in lawn care, planting, and trimming.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems (including activation/winterization), components, water features, and electrical timer systems recommended (preferred)
• Knowledge and experience installing a variety of plants and trees.
• Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees.
• Knowledge of pest management and essential lawn maintenance.
• Time management skills; Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
• Carry and use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting.
• Embrace the adoption of new technologies that will help improve operating efficiency.
