Mountain Sky, Inc. is seeking skilled and motivated candidates to join our Landscape Construction team! The Landscape Technician is responsible for participating in the completion of landscape construction projects under limited supervision and supporting the day-to-day operations of the landscape department in the field.
DUTIES:
Landscape Operations
• Installation of landscape plantings, irrigation systems, drainage, water features, landscape lighting, and designed build systems.
• Assist in the installation of backflow devices, installing and programming irrigation controller, and layout of designed irrigations systems and designed build systems.
• Complete on-the-job training as specified by the Landscape Division Manager.
• Safely operate and train crewmembers on equipment including but not limited to skid steer, front loader, and dingo.
• Assist with employee training.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and organization including vehicles, tools, and machinery.
• Participate in snow removal services during winter months (i.e. manual snow shoveling).
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ year of landscape experience.
• Willing to participate in a drug-free work environment.
• Capable of lifting 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Valid Oregon driver license with clean driving record. (preferred)
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasonal temperatures and conditions, including exposure to extreme weather.
• Ability to work during all operating hours, including nights and weekends as required.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, mini excavators, and skid steers with various attachments; able to operate other construction equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and components (pipe hydraulics, controller wiring, and programming).
• Knowledge of low voltage lighting, splicing, and transformer installation.
• Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees; identification and habitat requirements.
