I am ISO a new daycare provider, in home or a facility for my kiddos. I am looking to start them ASAP as the current situation is not working out very well. I have DHS pay and am able to pay my copays on time. I am hoping for Redmond but would consider Terrebonne as well.
My son is 5, will be 6 the end of September. He is high strung and needs to be kept active and busy. With that said, I need a location that has the appropriate amount of children to provider ratio, must have structure and allows the children to play outside as well as activities if need to be inside, not just watching movies. I would prefer someone with experience with boys that have ADHD and sensory processing disorders as that's what my son has. He does great as long as there is the structured environment and activities to burn his energy. He loves to help and have jobs and likes validation that he is doing well. He is a total sweetheart but if he is secluded and made to sit and do nothing all day he will most certainly act out. His current situation does just that to him and it breaks my heart....my daughter is a typical 3 year old and will turn 4 the end of this month. She is easy-going and loves to help with jobs too. I don't have nearly as much to say regarding her care other than the typical requirements and wants. I want someone to treat my children with kindness, be supportive and patient.
I am in need of full-time care until school starts then my son would be after-school care only and my daughter depending on her preschool schedule will do half days, so before and after school care is needed. For the remainder of summer, drop off would be 8am and pick up would be between 6pm-6:30pm. It is easier for me as a single mother if snacks/meals are included and DHS acceptance is a must as I cannot afford more than my copays. I do have a great job and work full-time Monday through Friday.
If you read all this and yourself or someone else comes to mind, please contact me! I am desperately seeking a healthier situation for my children.
P.S. I am not bad-mouthing the current provider as I appreciate everything she has done, it is just not a healthy fit and there are way too many children being watched at once.
