New Vintage Apple Pattern Ceramic Soup Cereal Bowls w/ Lids from Montgomery Ward.
4 bowls with lids.
This pattern is so cute! I believe these were being sold in the 70's or 80's.
My mom bought these as extras (in case we were to break one), or needed more due to guests. She never used them, and they remained in that box for decades.
.
The box was super dusty and falling apart, so I took them out and wiped them clean.
The first thing you will notice when you pick one of these up is how nicely they are made. The weight of the stoneware is substantial in comparison to most things made nowadays (IMHO). The bowl without the lid weighs 1 lb.2oz, and with the lid they weigh 1lb, 8oz.
They measure about 4-1/2" in diameter near the top (just below where the lid sits), and about 4" diameter towards the bottom. The bowls are approximately 2" deep. And measure 6-1/2" from handle tip to handle tip.
Available for pickup in Mountain View neighborhood of Bend (near Eagle Park)
