Yearling stud colt. I call him Chicken Nugget. Working on halter breaking. I can grab his drag line fairly easy, he makes no effort to get away from me when I grab his drag line. I can rub him all over with very little resistance. He’s very quiet, really wants to be a good boy. Is leading well, moves easier and easier off pressure everyday. I will continue handling him multiple times a day until he finds his people. He is a big fan of having his face scratched, he secretly loves the attention.
Obviously, he needs TLC. I took him in recently because I felt sorry for him. He has the absolute kindest eye and I just couldn’t leave him behind. But I have taken possession of another horse that will be a bigger project than this guy will be. Chicken Nugget has been so easy to work with, I feel comfortable offering him. The other horse needs more time and cannot be offered at this time. I was not prepared to take on both of these horses and I’m just trying to do right by them.
I’m not in a rush to move this colt. He can stay here as long as he needs to. I will not pass him along to just anyone, I quite like this colt and will not sell him if it’s not in the best interest of Chicken Nugget. This guy is someone’s heart horse, I just know it. If there’s someone out there that thinks they could be his person, I’m open to the idea of him going. But like I said, he does not need to go.
These are current pictures taken today (5/26). He is eating good here and will continue to gain weight.
Located in Sisters OR. Serious inquiries only please. I’m not entertaining tire kickers for a horse I don’t need to move. I’d love to see this boy with a youth or teen, I think he’s going to be someone’s best buddy.
