Young Paint filly picked up off the Warm Springs Reservation in August. She is a very green project with a good mind and willing attitude.
She has been handled regularly, leads and halters, and has been taken out on dirt road walks. She takes new environments in stride and is not very spooky, recently standing quietly while a loud truck and trailer passed near her.
She is still learning and will need consistent handling. She can be a bit hard to catch at times and is working through her patience with hoof handling. She will pick up her feet but will need continued work to prepare her for the farrier. Has not had her first trim yet.
She has been tied for grooming and bathing and is still learning tie manners. She may pull back when first feeling pressure, but responds quickly and yields once she understands it.
She has become very attached to an older gelding, so she will need a home that can continue building her confidence and independence with regular work and structure.
This is a very green project and is not suitable for a beginner. She will require time, experience, and patience to bring along properly.
