A handful of wonderful Thoroughbreds are looking for homes. All ages, genders, training, and price points! If you are looking for something specific and don't see it here please reach out anyway. I've got lots of friends in the racing/horse industry and I know of many horses for sale.
Tiger - $7,000 - 15.2/15.3 hand, 11-year-old, mare by Smiling Tiger. This exceptional, professional, work horse of a mare is bored and looking for a job!!! While she does fine in a large herd of horses, she is bored just hanging out in the pasture. She spent all last year with a friend learning low level dressage 7 jumping. She went on lots of trails and packed some beginners around. While I wouldn't say she is a beginner horse in general, she is the type of horse you can toss your beginner friend on for a casual ride and not hurt them. This mare THIVES with one-on-one attention and she deserves to be spoiled. She is also a very professional workhorse that made $170,000 at the track. She wants a job! She has been ridden English and western. She's not spooky and she's hauled to some super busy places. Hauls/ties great. This is the type of horse that will make an adult armature or handy teen's dream come true. This mare could do anything from barrels to jumping to endurance. This mare has no restrictions. I would recommend an immediate rider or above. Preferably a home that will give her a job and not just a back yard pasture pet with casual riding a few times a year.
Jumpy - $7,000- 15.1 hand, 14-year-old, gelding by Blazonry. This happy-go-lucky, athletic, quirky gelding is available to the right now. This guys like driving a Porche. He's just been used as sort of an all-around casual riding horse since he left the track. Ridden both English and Western. Hauls and ties like a pro. He's used to traveling all around and settles right in. He can be ridden bareback in a halter, but can also be a pretty forward sensitive horse. He would thrive with a calm quiet rider who will give him a job and keep him in consistent work. He is smart and likes to work. He's been sold in the past and I bought him back because I loved him so much. Unfortunately, my personal health issues prevent me from riding very often and financially it would be best to downsize. Looking for the "right" home not just a home. NOT good for beginners, kids, loud riders, or cowboys.
Copper - private treaty - 16.1 hand, 5-year-old - by Jimmy Creed - This exceptionally well-bred filly has been brought along very slow but she is now ready to really get to work. She was lightly started as a 4-year-old. She's been hauled and had a ton of ground work. She is just lacking in miles under saddle. She is not spooky at all and tries very hard! She is beyond athletic and has no restrictions. She's always ridden off with no problems. Last year the colt starter was throwing ropes off of her on her second ride. This horse has a lot of go and a lot of power. She likes to keep her feet moving. This mare must trust her person, and does best with a calm, patient, horsemen. She will do anything for someone she trusts. She also does best with consistency. I have a price in mind, however, she's a special horse and the right home is the most important thing...for that reason price is very negotiable for the perfect spot. Looking for someone who is very in tune with their horses, gentle, kind, and can offer her a job and consistency.
Sunny (Appendix with AQHA papers) - low/mid xx,xxx/private treaty - 15.2 hand, 4-year-old, by One Nation. This mare is special!!! Very few horses have such a good mind, and are so pretty & well put together on top of it. She got a light start as a 3-year-then sat for months. Hauled her to a new spot, tacked her up, and rode her off like a super broke horse. Bred to race and paid into barrel racing incentives, however, she LOVES to jump. This easy-going girl has some gas in the gas tank, but won't give it unless asked. She is curios and smart. She loves to hop in trailers and haul different places. She's had lots of ropes thrown off of her. Great feet and stays barefoot. Not mare-ish. She literally could do anything: polo, roping, pick up horse, barrels, ranching, endurance, jumping, dressage, etc. This mare can be handled and ridden by anyone. While I would consider her beginner safe, she still needs an education so she would only be suitable for a beginner who will keep her with a trainer (for a while). She would be fine for handy kids and grandmas; however, an experienced rider could really have a lot of fun with her. This sale ad is a little pre-mature as I am planning to send her out to a trainer to finish and sell her. Willing to negotiate a bit if I can find the right home before going off to a trainer. Some will consider her very expensive and some will consider her a bargain. Will not sell for less than 5 figures even for the best home.
PPE welcome at buyer's expense for all horses. Other than the appendix all of them require at least an intermediate rider. All have papers. Prices are slightly negotiable on all horses - for the right/good home. However, negotiations must be within reason and will be better received if/when you see the horse in person and if something is found during a PPE that could be concerning. Photos and videos will be coming. An appointment to see the horse(s) will only be set on the phone.
