Just 24 hours after his birth, Fenβs dam β a mare we owned and cherished for 17 years β unexpectedly passed away. π In an incredible show of instinct, Fenβs full sister, now a two-year-old, immediately stepped in to help raise him, teaching him how to βhorseβ and even allowing him to nurse. Despite his challenging start, Fen has thrived. He had a 24-hour-a-day feeding station set up for him, and he has grown into a strong, healthy colt with an exceptional mind.
