Ford released the P558 F-Series Super Duty for the 2017 model year. Offered in a diverse selection of configurations, the truck weighed up to 350 pounds less than its predecessor, thanks in part to the widespread use of aluminum, a trick learned from the smaller F-150. More powerful engines, beefier four-wheel drive hardware, and a longer list of available tech and comfort features rounded out the list of updates. It was replaced by the fifth-generation Super Duty for the 2023 model year.
Power comes from a "Power Stroke" 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 engine, rated at 450 horsepower and
935 Ib-ft of torque. According to Banks, the tuner adds an additional 59 horsepower and 106 Ib-ft of torque at the wheels. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
According to Banks, the Derringer tuner is 50-state compliant.
