2003 Forester, rebuilt engine and transmission - $4,000

The body has 250k, but engine and transmission are rebuilt and new clutch with approximately 75k miles on them.
Manual transmission
Within the last 6 months, the vehicle has new:
- brakes and rotors
- front cv axles
- suspension all around
- rear wheel bearings
- starter
- transmission service
Also relatively new:
- ball joints
- end links
- all season tires
- comes with the roof box!
The vehicle is in amazing shape. I have driven it up and down the west coast, to Colorado and Canada, and everywhere in between. It is extremely reliable and gets fantastic gas mileage.
Everything works (heat, AC, power windows and locks, Bluetooth stereo, speakers).
It has cute custome curtains for privacy if you want to camp out of it, and tinted windows.
The only negatives are
- the backlight on the dashboard is very dim/out in some spots
- it burns oil a bit (nothing crazy, I ads a quarter maybe once or twice between oil changes)
The switch on the aftermarket flood lights needs to be replaced if you want those to work
