DEPARTMENT: Linn County Parks and Recreation – Coldwater Cove Campground, sits in the mid-section of the Cascades mountain range, at the south end of Clear Lake.
START DATE: ASAP
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Greeting guests; answer questions; share local recreation opportunities with guests; display a kind and helpful attitude; enjoy working in an environment with extensive public contact.
• Clean and stock restrooms, clean fire pits, pick up/dispose of trash and maintain trash receptacles.
• Assure cleanliness of campsites between guests; clean and maintain day use areas.
• Sell firewood and/or ice; assist guests with FC/FS registration and site selection, if needed.
• Immediately report any maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions or needed repairs to your supervisor.
• May include other specific duties as agreed upon with park staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to learn park rules, area information, and educate park visitors.
• Ability to follow directions, manage multiple tasks to park standards and complete tasks in a timely manner; work independently.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions; must be available to work evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. This position will require you to work 20 hours per week.
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive forward and overhead reaching. Ability to lift/carry 40lbs. and push objects weighing up to 75lbs; Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time; ability to move safely over rough and uneven terrain.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance and landscaping tools.
• Perform janitorial service, including the use of chemicals.
• Ability to tow own RV in and out of campgrounds in emergency situations.
• Must be a graduate from a senior high school or have GED; possess valid Oregon Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; pass a criminal background check.
• Must abide by Linn County Parks/USFS Campground rules.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must live on site; maintain a tidy, free of clutter, campsite; must have a self-contained recreational vehicle; approved RV must be fully operational, clean in appearance, well maintained and good working conditions.
• Personal property shall be covered by your own insurance; Linn County will not, and cannot, replace any lost, stole or damaged property. RV must be insured and licensed with current tags.
SALARY, BENEFITS, HOW TO APPLY
• SALARY RANGE: $15.55 per hour; campsite provided, for you, at no cost.

• DURATION: Through mid-October, dependent on the needs of the department.
