Description: We are a locally owned private car service seeking a reliable, professional individual to join our team. We have an exceptionally low turnover rate. We value team members who are ambitious and pursuing their own non-driving ventures.
The Role:
*Stability: This is a long-term position, not a seasonal gig. We are hiring to replace a loyal employee out for a couple months, then replace an upcoming retiring employee.
*Schedule: This is an evening/night shift. These hours may be considered inconvenient. Flexible scheduling is possible for the right candidate.
*Professional Boundaries: We operate by reservation only. There are no unknown, random passengers. This role is not for those looking to build or promote their own transportation-related client base.
*Status: This is an employee position (not a 1099 subcontractor) with full payroll deductions, SAIF, and unemployment insurance . Employees do not pay federal taxes on any gratuity paid on credit cards. Employees accrue paid sick time per Oregon law. Company vehicles, insurance, and fuel are provided.
Requirements:
*Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, confident demeanor.
*Competent winter driving skills.
*Clean DMV record (no alcohol-related history), no felony convictions.
*Proficiency with smartphone apps and basic math.
*Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
*Strict tobacco-free environment: No tobacco aroma on duty.
Appearance & Environment:
*Dress Code: Business casual (collared shirts; no denim, no ties).
*Appearance: No visible body art or tattoos while on duty.
*Tobacco-Free: No tobacco aroma on duty.
*Scent Consideration: Please be mindful of passenger sensitivities by avoiding heavy colognes, perfumes, or strongly scented grooming products while on duty.
*Must pass DMV and OSP background checks. The company covers costs for RDM security authorization.
Compensation: Percentage of sales plus 100% of gratuity. Gratuity increases with experience.
