Gig: PC/Electronics Assembly — SimVox Units — $350/day (Sisters, OR)
Compensation: $350 per day
Employment type: Gig / contract (2–3 days)
Location: Sisters, OR
Job title: Hardware Assembly Technician
We're hiring detail-oriented people to help assemble and package SimVox units — an AI-powered smart speaker system used in healthcare simulation training. SimVox gives patient training manikins a "voice," letting nursing and medical students practice real conversations with simulated patients. You'd be helping us get these units built and shipped out the door. (More about the product: www.pcs.ai/simvox)
What you'll be doing:
Configuring tablets (basic setup, no advanced tech skills required — we'll train you)
Pairing Bluetooth speakers to their paired tablets
Marking and recording serial numbers accurately
Placing finished components into retail packaging
Each unit is straightforward to assemble, but accuracy matters — serial numbers and pairings have to be correct, and packaging needs to look clean and professional.
What we're looking for:
Comfortable with basic tech (turning on tablets, connecting to WiFi, Bluetooth pairing)
Careful, organized, and good with repetitive detail work
Reliable and punctual
Able to stand/sit at a workstation for the full day
No prior assembly experience required — we'll show you the process
Details:
Pay is $350/day
Short-term gig — expecting 2–3 days total to complete the project
Specific dates in August, TBD — please share your general August availability when you apply
Work is on-site in Sisters, OR
Tools and materials provided
To apply: Reply to this posting with a sentence or two about yourself, any relevant experience (assembly, electronics, packaging, warehouse, etc.), and your general availability in August. We'll follow up with next steps once dates are confirmed.
