Nighthawk Naturalist School is offering 2 1-weekend per month, 10-month Immersion Courses for Adults during the 2021-2022 "school year". Based in Bend, OR
In the Survival Immersion, we will explore the basics of many topics related to ecology and wilderness survival. These will include: friction fire methods, primitive shelter building, water purification, archery, wild foraged edible plants, herbal medicines, stone and bone tool-making, and more!
In the other Immersion class, the Naturalist Immersion, we will focus on a variety of ecological studies, including plant and animal identification, osteology, animal behavior, wildlife track and sign, bird language, ethnobotany and plant medicine, phenology, wild edibles and wild cooking, and more. It will culminate in a weekend camp-out where we will get to practice what we've learned throughout the course.
We start in September this year and would love to have you! 8 spots are available in each of this years' Immersion Courses (discount provided if you sign up for both Immersion Courses)!
