Hey CL, I have an awesome Transition Rapture CX size large for sale. The bike is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically with a ton of new parts just installed. Though it is currently set up single speed, it's geared compatible should you prefer to go that direction. I have loved this bike since I saw it released (years before I ever even rode a drop bar bike), so when I had the opportunity to purchase this one, I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, I have multiple skinny tire bikes and ride the MTB's most of the time anyway, so this isn't getting as much use as it deserves and needs a new home.
This would make an excellent bike for CX racing, gravel/dirt road riding, or bombing around town on the coolest looking bike in Bend. The steel frame and fork are sleek and comfortable, and the high end reliable aluminum build kit means this bike is FAST. All upgrades and new parts are noted in the spec breakdown below - the new parts only have 4-5 rides as pictured and there's hardly a scratch on the bike. Here's a detailed spec:
Frame/Fork: Transition Rapture (Steel, large)
Wheelset: Stan's ZTR Iron Cross (Tubeless, just trued)
Brakes: Avid BB5 Calipers and Tektro Levers
Cranks: FSA Gossamer
Gearing: 38x16 (New rear cog)
Bars: Easton EA70 AX 44cm (New)
Seat Post: Zipp Service Course (New)
Saddle: Fi'zi:k Argo (New, other saddle options available)
Bar Tape: Fi'zi:k (New)
Tires: Vittoria Terreno Dry 700x33 (New, fresh sealant)
Tire Inserts: CushCore Gravel w/ Red Valves (New)
Not Included: Bell and Thomson Stem (Matching new Easton stem will be installed)
I'm firm on the $950 price - I really love this bike and don't have a specific need to get rid of it. Given the hundreds of dollars of new parts just installed, along with the value the rest of the bike offers, I think it's a great deal for the next owner, whether you add gears or keep running it SS.
