One of a series of collages by Josephine Harrison Chaudoin using fine fabrics and paint to achieve unique 3 dimensional effects.
This piece "Santa's Rice," was chosen for reproduction as a Christmas card in the "Save the Children" (Micheal Jackson) Campaign.
It shows a small back child holding a plate to catch rice from Santa's bag. The rice is real, the fabrics are fine nettings, cottons, felts, and burlap.
The wooden shadow box is 26X21X2 with a glass front. The piece is signed by the artist from whom I personally purchased it in 2000.
