Filming will be done at Players on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. We are looking for approximately 9-11 people to volunteer from 12:00 to 4 p.m. or 30+ from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Everyone must be over 21 years of age and have a photo id.

Fred Meyer of Redmond and The Hive in Redmond are hosting a giving tree for needy children and giving 15% off all purchases for the donations! The tree went up on November 27th and all gifts should be returned by December 23rd.

Volunteer coordinator - Pacific Crest Trail (Mid-Oregon)

The Mid Oregon (High Cascades) Region of the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator.

This is an UNPAID, home based volunteer position requiring a commitment of 30-40hrs per month. An Oregon location is required as is some travel to meetings, and events in the Cascades area.

Primary duties include managing publicity for the region (including interaction with the press), distributing PCTA recruiting collateral, manning a booth at events, recruiting volunteers by any means possible and determining their allocation to trail sections or projects.

This position also affords a liaison post on the board of the High Cascades Forest Volunteers for the purposes of developing joint training seminars with the US Forest Service.

Previous experience is unnecessary but an ability to herd cats and deal with temper tantrums would be an advantage.

Applicants should be proficient in handling a high volume of e-mail traffic, have basic word processing and spread sheet skills and be capable of operating with little supervision.

This is a �people skills� position that requires patience and imagination but does not involve physical labor.

My name is Nadine , I am a resident staff at Bosco House here in Eugene.
Bosco House began 9 years ago by a small group of Eugenians with the dream of providing a safe environment and family home life for mothers and children. Since that time we have served mothers ages 18-25 and their children who are typically who have experienced domestic violence, chronic homelessness, and/or addiction. They come to Bosco broken but striving to make positive changes in their lives.

We offer the Bosco House as a place to heal, learn and to become independent. Our staff of volunteers live and work with these young women providing support. For many women Bosco House may be the first time they have lived in a traditional family structured environment.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Although faith based, Bosco House does not discriminate on the basis of disability, faith, race, nationality or personal orientation. Our Board and staff consists of passionate and dedicated people who are working to support the work of Bosco House and the growth of the young women in our program.

At this time we are working to raise awareness about the services we provide. We are in the process of meeting with members of the community and social service organizations.

We need volunteers with a heart for the young homeless families; Volunteers to help around the home and get to know the girls and the spirit of Bosco House.
