Your posting shows you know little about Oregon taxes. There are two tax valuations - RMV and Taxable AV. RMV is what the county thinks your home is worth, and Taxable AV is what they can actually tax you on - which can only go up by 3% a year. Since we had our bubble the two got way out of whack. The home I owned had an RMV of $300k in 2007. The Taxable AV was only $106k. Two years later the RMV is $242k and the Taxable AV is still only $112k. House prices keep dropping, but until it drops below the Taxable AV there will be no reduction in taxes. You can't have it both ways - not increasing wildly on the way up but decreasing heavily on the way down.

As far as your comment "Because the banks aren't there to help your home values increase".... nobody SHOULD be doing anything to help your home value increase. Home prices need to fall to be inline with what the consumer can afford without an exotic loan. They still need to fall more. I think the government is doing too much to prop prices up. The $8k first time buyer stimulus isn't there to help buyers - it is there to help sellers. Buyers would be better off if they didn't have the stimulus and the home prices dropped the $20k-$30k that they would have without the stimulus.

I am a working man, and I want a voice. Require 20% down. Charge normal interest rates. Get rid of the stimulus. Only then will home prices be affordable to everyone. A home that was $450k in 2007 may only be worth $120-150k, but that means saving the 20% down is much easier.

Lastly, we need to get rid of the stigma that renting = failure. There is nothing wrong with renting. You aren't "throwing your money away", and it doesn't make sense for everyone to own. Owning a home is a choice, not a right. Thinking it is was a right and trying to get as many people as possible to own was part of what got us into this mess. Some people will be renters for their entire life - and that's ok.

Did you all know that the appraisal's that you have done on your home are not the REAL values of your home...yeah the actuall value is 25% less than what your county appraisal comes out to be. I bet that your lenders didn't tell you that did they? Well if they didn't tell you that I'm sure they also didn't tell you that, the stimulus money they recieved, is gone, It really isn't, the banks are holding on to it and not giving the loans like their suposed to be doing. And here's one better, to apply for their loans the banks make it to where 90% of those that apply fail because of either the appraisal amount or your income isn't good enough, well GEEZ! who's income is great right now anyway? HELLO nobodys, so how in the world are we going to get into that 10% of people that are approved for loans? That's what we're going to find out. Because the banks aren't there to help your home values increase, because when they forclose on a house they don't want to hold on to it so they put it up for short sale or they auction it off for an incredibly low price and say when a $250,000 sells for less than $80,000 it really hurts the values of our homes.

I am hoping that we can set up town meetings all over because this is an extremely important issue that definately needs to be heard.GIVE THE WORKING MAN A VOICE, because as I recall don't we provide them with their paycheck? I think so. How mind-blowing would it be if we could get together and ask a simple question...Why am I being taxed so much on my home when it is only worth this much? I don't know about you all, but in the spring it would be much appreciated if a large group of people went and asked that question and demanded an answer.

I do not have to put up with any one Else's dogs threatening me, my pets or damaging my property. My neighbor has a very nice dog but they do not control it, I have to fill in the holes she digs, pick up the toys she has destroyed, clean up the deer hides and other disgusting things she drags onto my property, secure my trash cans, feed my cats where she can't get to the food or the cats. She is a sweet dog who loves people but she has no manners and is allowed to run the neighborhood and create problems that others have to take care of.

Safeway is a nasty store and I stopped shopping there 30 years ago. I have to say tho that most stores trim the mold off the cauliflower and re wrap it a lot of the time so you had best check for evidence of trimming. The black spots are not life threatening anyway and trimming is safe.

Everytime the road dept. sprays deicer on the roads is about 20,000. For starters that stuff is corrosive, it eats the crome and aluminum off your vehicles and ruins wiring. Plus when they spray and then it rains like today it washes away doing nothing. We made it through many winters before without this corrosive crap. Give it a few years and see what happens to our vehicles and nothing growing next to the roads.

I am sorry you had a bad experience downtown. You must not live here. The parking situation has been known, discussed and fought over for years. Blaming all the shop owners, is nothing but naive and uneducated. I manage a store DT and we pay for our employees to park in public parking lot. One of the biggest issues is that shop owners are not providing parking for their employees, the city doesn't provide parking for employees so your minimum wage employee is forced to park where ever they can. The parking rules/tickets are in part to try to get employees to not park downtown. We do need a better system. It is a CONSTANT topic with the city, the shop owners and the city. By the way we farm out the monitoring to a company in Seattle???? Don't know why we can't keep it local (that's another topic) Any how, you must move your car 500 feet AS STATED on the sign you neglected to read, (funny how it is someone else's fault that you didn't educate yourself). There are two free two hour lots along the park, then one dollar an hour there after. You also can today, copy your drivers license, copy your receipt and send it in with your ticket and it will be dismissed.
It is so sad that we see more tourists then locals downtown, when they do come down they seem to always comment how parking was easier then they thought it would be, and they comment on how nice the shops are. Our downtown is fun, vibrant, and a treasure. Look how many small towns downtown's are boarded up and half empty. Maybe we need to look more at the positive and quit bitching about really trivial things, a little time to learn our surroundings can be a good thing.What happened to self responsibility?????????

With today's prices, no one should have to settle for mold on the food when they purchase it. When there is mold, it is a sign of old produce and it can make you sick. Maybe the person that wants to scrap the mold off is used to that type of food. I buy lots of cauiflower and I have never seen mold on it at the store. Rant- Safeway Redmond Today (Redmond)

Today I went in to Safeway Redmond and I noticed there were no cart wipes so I ask the young man that was pushing carts in if he could get some. He said I had to go to the other entrance because they were out at this entrance. So off I went to the other entrance, same thing, the container was empty. I walked over to some women that looked like she may have been manager or asst. manager and told her the container was empty and she said "we are out of them" I said "well, do you have a paper towel I could use to wipe the cart?" She whirled around and grabbed a paper towel from under the counter and shoved it at me and glared and walked off. I went on my way to get a few things. I was in produce and was going to get a head of cauiflower. There were maybe 20 heads and I noticed the one I picked up had blacks spots of mold on it so I put it down and as I looked, all of the heads had mold on them. A produce man walked by and ask if I found everything and I told him the cauiflower had mold on it. He said it came in that way and walked off! Won't be going back there!

Lets see I have a pit bull mix breed that was raised around baby chickens, birds, kittens, my friends little kids, and she is the most social happy well adjusted dog I have seen in a long time. Does this mean I am going to let her alone with baby chicks all day? probably not , because she is a "dog" Thats what they are, so TRAIN THEM RIGHT

My neighbors have what looks like to be a pure lab and one of those little dogs, those things run about and chase everything, kill quail, and charge and bark at anyone that walks by. I have resorted to use pepper spray to walk my child to the bus stop, because those dogs mean business, and someone is going to get bit ( most likely the bicyclist ) or my foot is going in their ass, one of the two ... I hate them, someone is going to get hurt this summer I just know it. Its the pack mentality that makes it worse

So its the owners, I have seen all breeds in my lifetime and its how they were raised. They are still canines, and I agree with the livestock, if I had a pitbull or rott charged at my animals ... its my right to shoot them on sight, but it should never have to get to that point, its the stupid people that let their dogs wander around and don't train them. I rather call animal control a bazzilion times before that. I haven't called yet but I should take a video and show them.

If my dog gets loose she will most likely jump in the first car with an open door with the typical " oh boy lets go for a ride " .... Not run around chasing people and showing aggression ... there is no aggression because she wasn't taught that.

Pelosi is hastily lining up a vote before the end of the year because the treasury expects the Congress to hit their existing debt ceiling later this month, essentially "maxing" their available credit. Republicans, instead of fighting this as we would hope they would do, signed on lock, stock and barrel. Why you ask? Half the pure pork in the bill is theirs. They need to get all they can today before they are voted out next year. OUR elected leaders devalue our dollar daily with their wonton spending and non-stop printing of non-backed paper money. When the world drops the dollar as the world monetary trading currency you'll wish you had stockpiled some supplies.

At the risk of starting the whole pit thing again I gotta put in my 2 cents worth. Many years ago my X and I raised sheep. We had our share of neighbors who didn't find it neccessary to restrain thier dogs. Of course pits were not as popular then and there weren't so many of them. But of all the breeds that attacked and killed our animals ( sheep, calves, goats and rabbits in hutches) the worst were labs. There is just something about the team mentality when more than 1 dog get loose and start running.

A story..we had 2 afgan hounds(yeah, the stupidest dogs ever) but they did protect the sheep. We had an aussie and a chiwawa (yeah, sp) We came one day to find that the two afgans and the chiwawa were running the sheep. they had killed 3 lambs before we got home. Needless to say the afgans went away..the chiwawa was locked in the house. The point is that no matter what breed it is get more than 1 dog together and they are going to do bad things. The reason the aussie didn't get involved was the fact that she was with me at the sale...I'm sure that even tho it was her job to be around these sheep she would have gotton involved. with that being said I would still worry about ppl if a pack animal like a pitt is out and about with other dogs rampaging..Shoot em..You got the right.

When we get in debt with numbers this large and so many zero's it can get real confusing and overlooked in a hurry!

Notice all the government pay increases this last year? Many employees at all level's and we now have more making 100,000 now than ever (yes thats a 6 digit number, much easier to understand than 13 or 14 digits). Hmm sounds to me like what he curses the private sector for? How dare they give out a bonus! Barack and Nancy are alot like the kid who found Dad & Mom's debit card while they were drunk. Even though the account is basically bare they keep using it anyway and it seems to work and dispense cash!!! Its not till later that the statement comes and all the overcharges, the fee's and so on. When its all over with there wont be anything to show for all the money spent that they didnt have to begin with except for interest, penalties and fee's to go on top of the debt .

I think that the government already knows there is no way to fix anything and will just keep barrowing from its self untill the ultimate demise comes to pass, as long as we can ride it out and barrow for enough years till our lives end who really cares right?

Regardless of your feelings about pit bulls the offending dog they were talking about WAS a pit bull, so get over it. I have acreage and if your dog, no matter what breed, comes on my property and behaves in an aggressive manner toward any animal or person on my property I will dispatch your dog into it's next life. Period. What don't you people understand about controlling your animals? Why can't you grasp the rights of others to not have to deal with the pet you choose?

Facts- The economy rose 3/10 of one percent. Could it be that for the month of November/ December, people went out a bought X-mas purchases, which account for about 40% of the total retail sales in this country during December. Bottom line is that 11% of the US population works for the federal government, and their "average income" is $70K, not counting the great health care and retirement they have. The federal employees just got a 2% raise a week ago. The value of the dollar has fallen by 37% this year. Less than 10% of the US working population is in the manufacturing industry. 27% are in the service industry. So, lets go back to high school economics. If we do not produce (manufacturing) products (physical items) to sell, how is this country suppose to earn money and clear out the astronomical deficit? Under the free trade and global economy spin that was started years ago, most of the manufacturing companies, have moved "off shore" to other countries. Those companies are doing just fine on Wall Street, but they are not employing the US population. Banks are doing fine because they finance the deals and off shore businesses. Mean while, the general population has to pay for the federal, state, county, and city employees, not to mention the military, thru TAXES. The US "working" population is slowly being brought down to the level of the working population of countries like India and China, in income per year. Mean while the Fed just keeps printing more dollars to keep the bubble from popping. Local businesses are hiring 2 part time employees, instead of one full time, to pay less taxes, and benefits, so they can survive. Small companies are worried that they may have to pay into the "health care fund" which will be coming soon. The Congress is going to strap the up-side-down healthcare system on the general population, or employers one way or the other. 98% of the working population which are having social security dollars withdrawn from their pay checks will never see a dime of social security. Soon, they will wake up to the fact that the government stole that money years ago, and was used to prop up other functions of the government. The facts are clear- Lobbyists spend 2 million a day in Washington. Thats 2 million a day! Do you really think congress or the house is listening to the common people? Go to .Gov census and look around. The numbers are sad and amazing. The US has max'ed out is credit card, and it's time to pay up. Bottom line is 6% of the population owns 97% of the money in this country. Don't believe? Look it up at the Fed website .Gov The "miiddle income" population of this country is declining like a falling rock. Next step is as there are less and less people employed, less taxes, less money to pay for all those people at the federal, state, county, and city levels who are employed to "manage" your daily life. The Federal Level of everything has just gotten huge, and you cannot turn it off. Hell, look at NASA. They constantly have to come up with new "programs" to do so that all those high dollar scientist have something to do. Not to mention the vast number of support companies which would fail without government contracts every years. The federal systems are huge and probably cannot be turned off now, without massive damage to this nation. Take the time to look at the stats over the last years. Its is very alarming. Some irresponsible "sack of shxx" turned their dogs loose, among which was a pit bull. It "ate" one of my "pasture babies", attacked my horse, etc. I'm still sick about it. The person was cited. My neighbors saw it. How does that make up for my sense of violation, loss, and feeling of uneasiness. I do not want to, nor do I care to, become Fort Knox and hire an army to protect me and my "pasture pals". I already have new fencing, new electrical barriers, etc. There will never be enough to protect me from idiots. Why are obvious "crazies" allowd to own dogs they either cannot or will not control==ESPECIALLY PIT BULLS. This person surrendered the "offending" animal, but still has another pit bull "in the wings" to foist upon the rest of us peaceful, anomal loving people who know how to be leaders of the pack, rather than vice versa. What the Sam Hill is wrong with Animal Control, leaving a nuball with another pitbull, after seeing what happened with the first pitbull. Who belongs incarcerated? The offending dog, the offending owner, or ANIMAL CONTROL officials for not looking out for us. I'm fed up. I adore dogs, but the next critter running around my pasture is in danger of extinction via firearm. What the heck is wrong with people?????

Well Brain Surgeon, you cant move your car and think you are going to get 2 more hours. Look at the signs, stop blaming others, and just come to the simple conclusion that you are stupid.

I was parked in front of the Goldsmith from 11:15 to 12:45 when my friend and I left 900 Wall Street Resturant, I left the place and moved my car to space further down Wall ( in front of 900 Wall ) and left my car there around 1pm...............knowing that I had 2 hours to park, I came back with my friend about 2:40 and low and behold there was a ticket on my car. I still had 20 minutes left in my new spot.............I picked up my ticket and looked at the time and the ticket was issued at 1:45...........only 45 minutes after I parked my car.

BEND MERCHANTS......IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SHOP DOWNTOWN, SOMEONE NEEDS TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH DIAMOND PARKING.............I for one will not be back downtown when there is other shopping in Bend where they don't have these issues.

I am shocked at the balls the parking moniter had to do this.....................how stupid for them to think that people will put up with that kind of crap.....................

Most folks think you are crazy when you try to warn them to be prepared. I mean seriously, if there was any breakdown or scares in our society, there would be mobs of people trying to stock up on supplies. And we only have one Super Walmart, and one Cosco in the entire Central Oregon area. I can only imagine the chaos and how quickly shelves would be bare. It is pretty easy to envision how fast stores would be empty when you seriously look at the facts of how many people are in this area vs. the amount of supplies. Just look at Black Friday- society goes nuts when there is a limit on what they can purchase.

Then FEMA would be there to save us all, right? Because that worked so well during hurrican Katrina. And honestly if nothing happens anytime soon, we can just eat or donate the saved food and replenish the water- then stock up again just in case! There is no reason other then ignorance, pride, or laziness to be unprepared. So, GET INFORMED.

So many people rely on the government already, that naturally they cannot comprehend fending for themselves. We won't be one of those people waiting on the government with our family for water and food, will YOU?

WHAT is it about "please keep dogs leashed at all times" is it that you STUPID pretentious yuppie-types can't understand???? There ARE parks with designated off leash areas for your Weimeraners and Labs to run aimlessly into one another and ignore you when you try to call them back- because judging from my experience here you obviously have NO control over your pets which is the reason they belong on a leash in the first place!!!! if I am walking in a leash-required park, and I have another "Lucy" or "Hunter" come stampeding towards me and barking while you make weak excuses for your dog's behavior, I WILL call animal control. And no, I don't have a thing against dogs. I HAVE a dog. Who happens to NOT like other dogs. He is well-behaved ON THE LEASH which is why I can ideally take him to these kind of parks, where other dogs will also be leashed so we can pass each other without incident, right??? WRONG. The last two times I tried to take him anywhere he had to stay in the car, and we had to turn around and leave, because there are so many of you MORONS out there not thinking!!! IF your poorly-trained mutt comes barreling at us out of nowhere, and comes close enough, my dog WILL try to bite your dog. And I will try to stop him. But if it happens, just remember, it is YOUR fault. Not mine.

I took my three grandchildren to town yesterday. We shopped, had a few treats, looked around, ran some errands. Yes, I was tired when I took them home but I haven't had that much fun in ages. Gives you a new view on things you have stopped noticing. They notice everything.
Clerks commented on how well behaved they are. Probably has something to do with the fact that I am the grandparent, not the parent, and if they don't behave I can pull in their driveway and kick them out, their parents can't.
Did you know that there is "Dora" soup? I didn't, but now I do. Did you know that the Santa at the Outpost is fascinating? Well it is. Did you know that McDonald's will put a couple ice cubes in the hot chocolate to cool it down for a child? Well now you do.
We all had a good time and I will definitely do it again.

I sincerely hope that you are wrong. All three of my children are bi-racial and I hope they have, at the very least, the chance to become president. Obama used his fantastic public speaking ability and his race to rise to the popularity of a rock star. However, the United States deserves the best person for the job, not the most popular. Maybe, just maybe, Obama will figure out how to get it right. Carter never did. Bush never did. This is not about intellijgence. It is obvious that Obama is an intelligent man. Obama is just terribly inexperienced and has surrounded himself with poorly qualified (or corrupt) cabinet members. He has three more years. Now that his approval ratings have shriveled away, maybe he will try to do the will of the American people. Maybe, just maybe, he can start doing things right and build a legacy.

1) Secure our borders and get rid of the illegal aliens. The majority of Americans don't want them here.
2) You can't just throw money at problems and make them go away.
3) Don't saddle future generations with huge debts. Just as a household cannot spend its way out of economic despair, neither can a nation.
4) Find some compromise on health care (ex: don't fund abortions),
5) Generate jobs. Create incentives for all businesses to grow and expand. People with jobs pay taxes. People without jobs are a tax burden.
6) Don't buy into popular hype such as cap and trade which will make American companies uncompetitive internationally
7) War is unpopular. Americans are tired of it. However, if you go to war, don't let the enemy know your plans (ex: don't tell him when you're going to pull out).
8) Why does Michelle have a staff of 26 people when previous first ladies only had a maximum staff of three? Don't waste our money, especially in these tough economic times.
9) Stop apologizing for America internationally. We've done a lot of things right and a few things wrong. Do things right from now on and the world will get the message.
10) Accomplish something. A couple of "wins" even if they are small, may improve your approval rating.

Short version of an interesting conversation I had about aliens.

I met someone that said they saw an alien space craft. I thought that was awesome and I asked a thousand question.
Eventually, this conversation led to government conspiracies. My final statement to this person about government conspiracies is that- it was never actually granted in the constitution that the US government had to acknowledge or share information regarding alien beings/knowledge with American citizens especially if the public is not considered to be in danger. Therefore, regardless of how much they do know or do not know they are not under any legal obligations to investigate or publicize information as long as we are not "considered" to be in danger.

He then said he had never heard "no comment" phrased in an explanation. We both had a laugh. He also said that I was the first person to believe him without judgment and I responded ...who am I to tell some one that they did not see what they know they saw. Who am I to say you did not have the experience you said you had. Sure, you could lie to me but why, we were both strangers having a conversation.

Truly, before this person walked into my life I wanted to believe in aliens. I simply do not understand why some people have the encounters and others do not. Just to put it out there I am completely open to all alien encounters with the exception of death, disability, and slavery. No really I am!!!

I hate to say it but if everyone over 50 was forced into retirement this country would lose 70 percent of the skill and good work ethic that helped make this country great when they were younger. Who is to say how many of the 35 and younger generation could do the jobs even half as good, let alone would they accept the jobs that were open? There are some great younger men and women in this country still, Dont get me wrong but I'm amazed how many dont know how to change a tire, oil, Spark plugs ect. How many can't do some multiplying and division or figure percentages in their heads let alone on paper without a calculator or a computer. So many keyboard thumping, mouse clicking unemployed younger people wanting a 6 figure income with full benefits for doing the same thing's it takes to post on here!! Many people of all age's now days think they are to good to work and would rather find another government program untill that 6 figure mouse clicking job with a fancy title comes along. When people have these brainstorm idea's to fix the economy and proudly post them with bad math it goes to show you what this country is becomming! The Tarp fund's and Obamas stimulas together were not 4 freaking trillion dollars and for that matter we barrowed that money from ourself's with not a damn thing to back it (Well maybe china..lol and they are pissed at us)........dont worry just print more if we need it right?

This posting, even as I consider writing it, most assuredly falls (rather squishes) into that category.

So, if you are easily offended, have a weak stomach, or just ate lunch, go surf through the free section, m4m or republican-bashing posts.

Here goes:

I was at my computer earlier today. I had eaten grapefruit and prunes as a late-night snack after putting my child to bed last night. Just before lunchtime, I felt the ominous rumbling in my gut, letting me know that something special was brewing deep in the bowels.

I was not mistaken.

There was a peep of things to come as I leaned over to pick up my second cup of herbal tea that would have peeled the paint from the walls. I was both impressed and disgusted, all at the same time.

I just had to share this with someone. So, I figured, "Where would there be a line around lunchtime that nobody would want to leave?" You see, I am a true fartist. I believe that everyone should share my good fartune and p(ass)ion. I had two Christmas cards that needed to be mailed overseas. "Ohhhhhhhhhh, that's the ticket," I grimaced and held back the urge to empty my gently spasming, insistently gurgling colon.

Going down the elevator, I passed a small bit, nearly having a melt-down then and there. Pungent, acrid stank trailed me out the door as I made it to the car.

Strapping on my seat belt (safety first, you know), I knew that I could hold out to the post office. Late morning traffic usually clenches my sphincter tighter than a drum and this morning was no exception.

Entering the lobby's double doors, a let loose a real stinker as a soccer mom was leaving. I am sure she noticed as she hacked and coughed all the way back to her Highlander. But, (pun intended) there was more to come, yes, much, much more.

"Ahh," as I settle into a line of about six people before me and a most unfortunate group of three behind. There was a weaving, mid-day drunk just in front of me and I took full advantage of the situation and let loose the most rancid cloud of butt-napalm I have ever brewed.

It was entirely beautiful.

Two children stopped chattering, got quiet and began screaming. One lady had to run for the door, nearly leaving her just-picked-up box of Christmas cheer behind. A soldier, probably sending a care package to one of his buddies seemed to percieve the true culprit and the sly look he gave confirmed my suspicion that he was wise to my little game and may have been in the presence of a true master of the craft. Two people in front turned back and gave the wino a dirty look. I am not sure how many patrons of the post office found other ways to send their packages. I guess that fed-ex and ups may owe me a comission for my omission seeing as I single-assedly increased their profits for the season. I do regret that I may have spoiled someones Christmas cookies that were being mailed out by a dear, old aunt. The paper they were wrapped in most assuredly was significantly tainted by it's exposure.

I got my envelopes stamped, mailed and left hurriedly; but, not before an encore that I left at the door, which rivalled the performance, if not in smell, sheer volume. You see, while in line, I was in "stealth mode," covering up the flatulence with a shuffle of papers, stamp of the foot, shuffle of feet. Once I reached the door though, I turned loose all of nature's fury, in both scent and sound.

Finally reaching my office, I charged to the oscillating urn of the porcelain goddess, releasing my sacrement into her welcoming bowl.

I just had to rant. I'm not someone who hates people on welfare. I understand that bad situation happen. I went to the store with a friend last night. I don't believe this. Aren't food stamps supposed to be "help". My family and I are doing ok(w/o "help"). Not great right now but we get by. I spend about $60-$70 at the store every week for a family of 3 1/2(One one the way). She had a food card. I get a few snacks for us through the week but mainly it's meals and things like that. I couldn't believe she was able to spend like 3 times what I do. If it's help they should have that much. I mean she gets almost $400 a month for a family of 3. DAMN. Thats not "help" with food. Thats a waste. If you are struggling you dont need extras like 5 bags of pizza rolls. I'm sorry to anyone w/problems but I just don't think thats help. Thats strait up wrong. Its like your better off going on welfare these days.

1.) How does it work that the Health Insurance plan needs to collect fees and taxes for 10 years to give benefits for only 5 years and this is called budget neutral?

2.) If they have to tax and collect fees for twice as long as they give beneifts what happens in year eleven?

3.) They want to take 1/2 a trillion dollars from Medicare that's already 36 trillion in debt and then expand Medicare to 15 million more people. How does that make sense?

We live in a failing nation. Most of you who are involved believe this. Unfortunately, you also blame the the other side of the aisle. Truth be known, the blame falls on us. We are the ones who empower the Rush Limbaughs and Michael Moores of the world to polarize our opinions, and turn us against one another. The US government is fat, slow and bloated. If you believe this is due to policies put forth by the other party, YOU are the source of the problem. We the people should be unified I'm forcing real change at the level of government, not bickering amongst ourselves about whose policies are worst. The founders of our great nation had many of the same issues we have today, but unified over what they had in common, not focusing on what divided them.

Your government is betraying you daily.
