I'm 47. With 58 million boomers in front of me making a damn mess out of things for 30 years, at what point do you thing I've lived "long enough"? I don't fear the government. I fear you folks who sell fear as a method to try and keep control even though you're outnumbered. This is a republic, with a quasi-democracy rule. 51 % still beats 49%, and crying doesn't count.

Conservative talk radio is up in arms over how the US Military could possibly miss one of their own going over the edge.
It's the land of the free and the home of the brave, but we're chasing terrorists on the other side of the planet and ignoring the danger that lurks within our own borders.
The US is a fractured society right now, and just like plate tectonics, those in the subduction zones are going to form magma chambers that erupt.
It's too bad we didn't have some encampments the last time the conservatives lost the election and went nuts. Maybe
these fine fellows might have been contained before they made history.

But my question is... If it was so easy to pass the money in the first place, why did he sell it? Also, he used a $5 doller bill to make a $100! Any one that looks close enough would see the difference. I think if I did it I would have at least made the counterfit a $50 doller bill, then when someone looked they would see the five doller strip and not think it was fack.

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, education or awareness.
There are many people today who know little or nothing about the U.S. Constitution. There are many who know little or nothing of U.S. history, let alone world history. There are many who know little or nothing about central banks, and how they are used to steal our wealth.
There are many who buy into the glossed-over news of the day. There are many who take at face value the words of the elected class, the pundits and main stream media talking heads and printed headlines.
There are many who buy into the party line of their preferred political party. There are many who blindly believe the various political parties have a platform on which they base their actions and agendas and are committed to following through on those policies. There are many who believe the president, senator or representative they elected has in their hearts the best interests of the people they supposedly serve.
There are many who are ignorant.
It’s not all their fault—particularly the younger generations. Their education system has been corrupted by 1960s radicalism—the same radicalism that has infected our government.
Public education has become a sad joke. Its downward slide accelerated with the passage of “No Child Left Behind.” None are left behind because none are allowed to get ahead. The intelligent children are left languishing and fending for themselves while extra resources are devoted to those unable to keep up.
In speaking with a seventh grader recently I asked what he had been studying in his U.S. history class. Well, we spent about 20 minutes on World War II, then several class periods on how the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics, was the reply.
In class they watched Miracle, the 2004 movie about the team and its victory.
How backward is that? Twenty minutes spent learning about a six-year war spawned from the feckless, irresponsible and dastardly policies of the elected and ruling classes that resulted in the deaths of somewhere between 62 million and 79 million people worldwide. Several class periods on a three-hour hockey game that gave Americans a temporarily thrilling victory over a Cold War foe at the tail end of four moribund years of Jimmy Carterism.
Even the seventh grader was perplexed by his teacher’s decision.
Also glossed over in his class was more than 230 years of American history.
Is it any wonder there is so much ignorance?
Lack of understanding of the founding of our great country has led us to where we are now. Lack of understanding of the origins of the Federal Reserve—and other government attempts to establish a central bank—has led us to where we are now. Lack of understanding of the causes of Great Depression and the misguided (deliberately or unintentionally) attempts to head it off, and how government policies affected the country’s financial health for years has led us to where we are now. Lack of understanding of how a president’s policies can affect a country has led us to where we are now.
Where are we now? In an economic pit of our own making—suffering the aftereffects of a Fed-created bubble that spurred individuals and businesses to borrow and spend like there was no tomorrow. Now there may not be one.
Where are we now? Exacerbating the problem by dumping money out of helicopters in an attempt to stop it—at least that’s what the elected class tells us they’re trying to do. It’s a policy enacted by a supposed conservative, George W. Bush, and perpetuated on a grander scale by Barack Obama.
Where are we now? Watching as the elected class finds more ways to spend more money and steal the wealth of the individuals through massive tax hikes under the guise of healthcare reform.
Where are we now? Waiting for the other shoe to drop in the form of Cap and Trade, which amounts to more taxes and more spending.
Where are we now? Enduring the Obama presidency, which equals Jimmy Carter to the second power.
Sadly, many are ready to go full steam ahead with such policies.
Never mind that the elected class isn’t even considering whether such things are Constitutional. Forcing Americans to buy a product—health insurance—is okay with the elected class.
Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer said it’s permissible under the general welfare clause of the Constitution. Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told the press the president wasn’t even considering whether it was constitutional and no one had brought it up.
Don’t think the elected class is ignorant. They’re not. They know exactly what they’re doing—stealing your wealth and your liberty.

Where are we now… really? Many are sitting in front of the television watching Simon Cowell or anxiously awaiting the result of who is getting kicked off the island next or watching some stars in a dance contest.
Some are waking up. The Tea Parties demonstrate that.
But too many are ignorant. And apparently they’re ready to accept anything as long as it’s “free.”
And a damn fine job you're doing so far. Millions losing their homes, already lost their jobs, half the population on food stamps, illegals reaping the rewards of programs paid for by citizens, a government that actually thinks that fining and imprisoning people for not having health insurance will help any one but the prison system. Oh well, more government workers, more money for the private prison companies, more taxes for the middle class, which is dwindling by the minute. Yes sir eeeee, damn fine job you're doing.

President Obama, who promised during his campaign to “cover all essential medical services” for “every American” is continuing his indefensible quest to revoke medical coverage for American soldiers injured in the line of duty.
Despite a strong, bi-partisan message from Congress that any such proposal would be “dead on arrival,” Obama met with high-level officials in government and leaders of private veterans groups in an effort to move forward with the plan. Apparently the President, who just signed a spending bill with nearly 8500 earmarks totaling more than $6 billion in pork, is suddenly concerned about the $540 million that his Administration claims could be saved by forcing vets to pay for their own care when injured in battle. Are there no environmental studies or beautification projects that could be sacrificed so that our wounded heroes can keep their medical benefits for injuries sustained in the line of duty?
American Legion Commander David K. Rehbein said ”deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting in which the President of the United States “immediately deflected” any discussion of the government’s “moral” obligation to treat wounded soldiers. Rehbein also noted that, “This matter has far more serious ramifications than the President is imagining.”
The [American] Legion argues that, depending on the severity of the medical conditions involved, maximum insurance coverage limits could be reached through treatment of the veteran’s condition alone. That would leave the rest of the family without health care benefits. The Legion also points out that many health insurance companies require deductibles to be paid before any benefits are covered. Additionally, the Legion is concerned that private insurance premiums would be elevated to cover service-connected disabled veterans and their families, especially if the veterans are self-employed or employed in small businesses unable to negotiate more favorable across-the-board insurance policy pricing. The American Legion also believes that some employers, especially small businesses, would be reluctant to hire veterans with service-connected disabilities due to the negative impact their employment might have on obtaining and financing company health care benefits.
Craig Roberts, media relations manager for the American Legion, said in an interview today that, “The president’s avowed purpose in doing this is to, quote, ‘make the insurance companies pay their fair share.’ “ Someone needs to remind President Obama that insurance companies don’t send troops into battle. The Federal Government does. What’s fair about asking them to share the cost? Besides, the real burden would not fall on these corporations, but on soldiers and their families, who might suddenly find themselves on “a collision course with financial ruin.” Afterall, by Obama’s own calculation, “over half of all personal bankruptcies are now caused by medical bills.”
NO ONE is suggesting that phsyicians and nurses not be adequately compensated, just getting rid of the bloated profit center for basic health care. simple really.
Oh, and by the way, having access to rural medical healthcare would save many an hour on the road to the VA hospital system for our brave soldiers who risked their lives to protect our nation.
New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!
I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.
For starters: Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.
Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some asshole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.
An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee, so what the hell. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep,' and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical sonofabitch....
If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.
Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.
They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any push ups after completing basic training. Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.
An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes and not the back of his head.
These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.
Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody Made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans.."

The legislation would require most Americans to carry insurance and provide federal subsidies to those who otherwise could not afford it. Large companies would have to offer coverage to their employees. Both consumers and companies would be slapped with penalties if they defied the government's mandates.
At its core, the measure would create a federally regulated marketplace where consumers could shop for coverage. In the bill's most controversial provision, the government would sell insurance, although the Congressional Budget Office forecasts that premiums for it would be more expensive than for policies sold by private firms.
This will hurt families who are on tight budgets but are making just enough money that the government requires them to pay for health insurance they can't afford. I've always been afraid this would happen. I never hear anybody talking about what the Required health insurance will cost individual families.
